Nana ke Bol: Water Cycle

पानी की कहानी – नानी की जुबानी 

Hi in Class I this was the second poem that I recited. I got the second prize in it. Please enjoy that poem

देख के वर्षा की बूंदों को, बोली मेरी नानी,
क्या तुमको पता हैं बच्चो  पानी की कहानी?
सूरज की गर्मी से बदले, भाप में, सागर पानी,
आसमान पर ऊपर जाकर, भाप बनी मस्तानी |

 
बनकर बादल, हवा से उढ़कर, यह हम पर छा जाये,
बिजली चमके, बादल गरजे, और हमें डराए |
हवा की ठंडक से बादल में, जल की बूंदे आयें,
और छमा छम बारिश का पानी, धरती पर आ जाये |

 
कुआं, ताल और झील के रूप में सब के मन को भाये,
या फिर नदिया बनकर फिर से सागर में खो जाये |

 
पानी का यह चक्र ही हम को देता जीवन दान,
हरा भरा धरती को करके, पानी हैं महान |

Nana ke Bol: Garmi ki Chhutiyan (Summer Holidays)

Hi, This year I recited a poem but I have not got the result so I want to share that poem with you.
 

गर्मी की छुटियों में एक दिन मैं था बहुत उदास

 

मेरी दीदी गई कैम्प में किस से करूँ बात

 

सारे खिलौनों से खेल चुका था मन था बहुत हताश

 

 मम्मी पापा ऑफिस में थे नानी आई पास

 

 नानी बोली आओ तुमको अच्छी खबर सुनाऊँ

 

 और तुम्हारी उदासी को झट से दूर भगाऊँ 

 

इस हफ्ते के अंत में हम सब जाएँगे गोवा

 

 समुद्र तट पर  बैठकर देखेंगें लहरों की शोभा

 

गोवा के अच्छे मौसम में हमने ख़ुशी मनाई

 

इस तरह मम्मी पापा ने मेरी उदासी दूर भगाई

सुख के संगी स्वार्थी, दुःख में रहते दूर

Nana ke Bol: Lion and the Mouse

Hello! This is a poem my nana papa composed when I was in Class I.

It shows us how even a small mouse can help a big mighty lion who was kind hearted and forgave the mouse magnanimously.

दया करने का फल

एक शेर था बलवान

बड़ा मेहरबान |

एक पेढ़ के नीचे जब शेर था सोया,

एक चूहा उस पर कूदा

तो शेर गुस्साया    |

चूहे ने मांगी माफ़ी

तो शेर मुस्कराया,

चूहे को उसने अपना दोस्त बनाया ||

फिर आई विपदा भारी,

जब आया एक शिकारी |

शिकारी ने जाल फैलाया,

और शेर को फंसाया |

तब चूहा भागा आया |

जल्दी से जाल को काटा,

और शेर को छुडाया    |

अपनी दया के फल से

शेर बहुत हर्षाया ||

DID YOU KNOW? National Song

India has a National Song. It is distinct from the national anthem (Jana Gana Mana) and enjoys the same popularity and an official status.

It is the song “Vande Mataram“ (which mean, i bow to thee, Mother)  composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay  in 1892.

It played an important role in the independence movement and was first sung in the 1896 session of the Indian National Congress. The 1st two verses of the song were adopted at the national song in 1950.

The song is a hymn to Goddess Durga who is identified as the national personification of India.

DID YOU KNOW? National Tree

Banyan Tree is the national tree of India.

The branches of Indian Banyan tree grow down into the ground and root themselves to form new trees and grow over large areas.Because of its seemingly unending expansion and long life, the banyan tree symbolizes eternal life.

It is an integral part of myths and legends in India. It  is often called ‘kalpavriksha’,  which means ‘a divine tree that fulfills wishes’.
