1. I was born on 23rd July 1856 in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra and i became the 1st  popular leader of the Indian Independence movement.

2. I am remembered for my words “Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it!”

3. I was given the honorary title of “Lokmanya”, which literally means “Accepted by the people (as their leader)”.
